It is "ROHM ILLUMINATION," an event that lights up Kyoto city beautifully.

"ROHM ILLUMINATION" is an event that a Kyoto-based, famous semiconductor company "ROHM Co. Ltd. started, to contribute to the community. The eveng has been taking place every year, and there is no admission fee. What an amazing company it is! .
Every year, from late November to December 25th, the street of the ROHM company building and the neighboring park are decorated with beautiful illumination, for a full month.
It is the largest-scale illumination event in Kyoto city. This year for "ROHM ILLUMINATION 2016," about 800,000 lights are going to be lit up brightly on the trees of symbolic "YAMAMOMO (wax myrtle tree)," "metasequoia boulevard," and the park.
During the "ROHM ILLUMINATION" season, there are many groups of families, friends, and couples visit this place and enjoy the fantastic winter illumination of Kyoto.

The entrance to Saidori from Gojodori is the starting point of the main street.
At the entrance of Gojodori, there is a symblic "YAMAMOMO tree," and on Saidori, there are about 20 trees on both sides of the street making "METASEQUOIA BOULEVARD," on which every tree is decorated with lights, creating a tunnel of illumination.
These "YAMAMOMO Trees" and the METASEQUOIA BOULEVARD on Saidori called "Promenade of Lights" are very beautiful, please don't forget to take photos at these places.
