"Eikan-do(Zenrin-ji)" Famous for Autumn Leaves and beautiful night illumination!

"Eikan-do" which official name is "Zenrin-ji" is a famous place for Autumn Leaves.
They have lots of tourist in every autumn, because of the beautiful autumn scene with the scarlet maple leaves and historical buildings and garden.

At the beginning of the leaves turning red, we enjoy looking up the autumn leaves on the trees, and at the end of it we also enjoy looking at the fallen leaves it looks like a red carpet, we call it "Maple Leaf Carpet".

Furthermore, "Night illumination" is held in every autumn. Only in that time you can enjoy the illuminated autumn leaves in night.

Of course, Eikan-do is famous for not only autumn leaves but also many historical buildings and important cultural properties including "Mikaeri Amida zo(Praise to Amida Buddha)".

How about taking the time to see the beautiful autumn leaves and study about history of Kyoto?
